Earth Day

Each year, in recognition of Earth Day, the Environmental Quality Commission honors Kentuckians who have made outstanding contributions to protecting the environment. 

The EQC is currently seeking nominations for its 2010 Earth Day awards.  Persons or entities that display an outstanding commitment to Kentucky's environment are eligible.  The nomination form can be filled out here or can be downloaded for printing here.  The deadline for nomination receipt is Dec. 15, 2009.  The EQC Earth Day awards ceremony will be April 16, 2010, at Berry Hill mansion in Frankfort.
