Welcome to the EQC Environmental Indicator of the Month.
Since 1992, EQC has been reporting on the status of the environment using more than 100 indicators to track and report on environmental conditions in the state to determine if the investments being made to protect the environment are achieving results. The information from the biennial EQC State of Kentucky’s Environment report has been used by:
· Legislators to help develop laws.
· Executive-level agencies to assess programs and help set priorities.
· Educators to provide real-life facts in order to engage students in learning.
· The public to make government more accountable.
The EQC Environmental Indicator of the Month highlighted important or emerging environmental issues to our Web site visitors. Additional sources of information were also provided so you can learn more about this and other environmental issues in Kentucky.
